STONEY CREEK TOASTMASTERS
Members Testimonials

Joining Stoney Creek Toastmasters has been a very uplifting and educational experience. The group is comprised of many interesting, humorous and friendly people. As a result, the atmosphere of the meetings is wonderful – and everyone is very respectful and supportive of their fellow members.
I have only been a member for a relatively short time, but have already learned so much and made so many friends.
I strongly encourage you to come out and be a guest at one of our meetings. You are sure to receive a warm welcome and I can guarantee that you won't be disappointed!

Experience the thrill of success
In 1991 a close friend invited me to attend a Stoney Creek Toastmaster meeting. I knew that I needed to polish my communications skills and saw immediately this could be achieved through Toastmasters
We learn best when we are in an enjoyable environment. One of the most important traits of this club is providing members with a positive and supportive learning experience.
Most of us joined Toastmaster to overcome the fear of public speaking. When we join we risk our self esteem, but you quickly learn how supportive the members can be. Their support has helped me succeed in my professional and in my personal life
From the very beginning my relationship with other members began with respect and trust which over time evolved into friendships and soon after, we became friends helping friends to succeed.
Challenge yourself to devote the time and energy to this great organization and I guarantee, you will get back in return, much more than you can possibly give.
I've been a member for 16 years and I'm still getting back more than I give.
Learn to overcome the fear of public speaking, break out of your comfort zone and expand your leadership skills, the benefits you will receive from this club will become the best investment you have ever maid.

I joined Toastmasters for one reason – fear of public speaking. I have done presentations in front of large groups through my job and understand from my peers that I do a good job. However, this does make it any less difficult to avoid the fear involved in preparing for the presentation or speech and actually performing them.
Since joining Toastmasters, I have gained self-confidence by speaking often to the group, as well as getting involved behind the scenes. I feel that it has helped me tremendously with my job searching skills, as it relates specifically to interviews and networking. I enjoy the meetings because of the safe environment, the variety of people that attend and making new friends who are extremely supportive and genuine. Let's face it, we're all there to grow as individuals and become comfortable with public speaking and I can't think of a better way of mastering it.

I Joined Toastmasters 7 years ago and one of the most important benefits that I received from Toastmasters is the ability to listen before speaking. Table topics was a great help in this direction. I use this ability every time I have to listen to a customers complaint before explaining what we can do to remedy the situation, and usually the customer leaves feeling they are satisfied with the outcome.
